FAQs  

1. What is SGD?
All the prices in our online shop are listed in Singapore Dollars (SGD). To get a gauge for the prices of our goods in your country's currency (e.g. US Dollars, Euros, UK Pounds etc.), you may use the Currency Converter we have in our website (top left hand corner), or visit www.xe.com for the most up to date currency rates. Our website's currency converter allows you to view only an approximate value of the price in your preferred currency. Our currency converter serves only as a gauge and is by no means an accurate up-to-date calculation of currency exchange rates.

2. How do I place an order?
When you see an item you like, click on "Add To Shopping Bag" and continue shopping until you are ready to complete your purchase. Then, click on "Shopping Bag" to confirm your items. After you have made any changes and updated the quantities as desired, click on "Checkout" to finish.

3. What payment methods do you accept?
Use your Credit Card for to make purchases at our web store, via Paypal. You do not need a Paypal account to pay with Credit Card via Paypal. Paypal also allows you to "write an eCheck" or use your Debit Card through their checkout system. Singapore customers may choose to pay via Bank Transfer if you do not have a Credit Card. You will be presented with the Bank Transfer option upon checkout, provided you have entered your billing address correctly as Singapore. For International shoppers, Bank Wire Transfers are permitted only for large orders above SGD$500. Please email us for further enquiries.

4. How will I know that my order was accepted?
After you have checked out your order successfully, an email order confirmation will be sent to the email address you have entered during checkout. Please make sure to have added our email addresses to your email Safe List. Check your Junk Mail folder if you still have not received any email confirmation from us as there is a high chance for all system-generated emails to be wrongly directed there.

5. How long will it usually take to receive my order?
All orders are packed and shipped out from Singapore. Upon placing an order via our web shop, you will receive an auto order confirmation email about your order. It will then take 1-2 Business Days for us to process the order, pack the items and shipped out. Once the order has been sent out, a shipping confirmation email will be sent out with the tracking number attached.

Estimated shipping durations (not including processing time of orders) are as follows:
For Singpost Registered Local Singapore Mail : 3 - 5 Business Days
For International Airmail to Asia Pacific Region : 11 - 15 Business Days
For International Airmail to European and USA Region : 11 - 21 Business Days
For International Express Worldwide Courier : 3 - 5 Business Days

6. Are all items your website available at all your retailers too?
The answer is mostly no. They may carry a particular design from our range, but due to the limited quantities produced of each and every single piece and its particular combination, the chances of it are almost zero.

7. How often do you list restocks and new goods in the website?
I TRY to do that at least once a week! Brand new designs are launched 4 times yearly.

8. Can I reserve an item in your website?
Strictly no unpaid reservations are allowed. Sorry!

ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS  

Where do you get your materials to work with?
I get fabrics, supplies, raw materials and everything else, from all over the world, including here in Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, United States and Europe. All our 100% Cotton Tank Top and T-Shirt fabrics are from the United States, and specially dyed to my custom requested colors. All vintage/pre-loved materials are thoroughly washed by myself before use.

Do you make everything yourself?
I used to be the only one sewing and making everything. Those were some crazy times! Now I have help from both full-time and part-time sewers in Singapore and the Philippines, where I have set up a sweatshop-free workshop and living space, with help from my dearest Filipino friends, for otherwise jobless and/or homeless, poverty-stricken women whom we have taught and trained sewing skills as a form of livelihood and provided fair wages. I try as much as possible to support only small businesses and individual crafters for all other non-sewn products that are not made by myself. The plushies and felt/fabric brooches are all made by myself, because I love making them too much. Not so good for my bone-thin crooked fingers. In recent years, I have managed to persuade and hire my dearest mummy on board part-time to help out with these products. Hooray for mums!

How about the designs?
I do all the design work of course, and match all the fabrics and colors together, amongst many other things, before my assistants work on them.

Why the name littleoddforest?
Why not?

Why do you make so few pieces of an item?
Because it is definitely way more fun making different things. We are not an assembly line factory! Plus, there is no herd mentality over here in the littleoddforest. One of my pet peeves is getting caught with a same something with someone else on the street or at a party. Eewww...

PRODUCT CARE  

How do I wash a printed tank top?
Hand wash is recommended. Otherwise, gentle machine-wash, in a laundry mesh bag and line dry. Low-heat iron with the tank top turned inside out. Do not iron on the print! Duh.

How do I wash a handmade soft-toy?
Gentle clean, using only a fuzz-free cloth slightly dampened with lukewarm water or with very mild soap water, and wipe gently at dirtied spot. Please note that synthetic felt will ball after lots of loving and hugging!

How do I wash a handmade bag?
Dry-clean or gentle hand wash ONLY. Use only a fuzz-free cloth slightly dampened with lukewarm water or with very mild soap water, and wipe gently at dirtied spot, and dry naturally. White vinegar mixed in with water will help prevent any color-runs. For cotton twill, denim, and corduroy fabrics, you may use Scotchgard's Fabric and Upholstery Cleaner or stain remover solutions that can be bought from any home fix-it stores. Ironing is NOT recommended. If you really must, use ONLY low-heat iron and be sure to use a pressing cloth between the fabric and the iron to prevent any damage done to the fabric, before ironing gently. Any white cotton linen cloth will do, otherwise an old pillowcase or a lightweight dishtowel will work as well. Be sure to not soak the bag in water for long periods of time.

If it is a small pouch that does not use any stiff interface and does not have any hardware (e.g. zippers, rings, magnetic snap, etc.), you may do ONLY gentle machine-wash in a laundry mesh bag and dry naturally.

However, we strongly discourage frequent washing as it might cause the fitting and shape of the case to change overtime.

How about items made with glass pearls and diamante?
: GLASS PEARLS are man-made pearls that are made of glass and coated with nacre, the same material that coats genuine pearls. Glass pearls have a substantial feel and weight, and are cool to the touch, much like genuine pearls. Glass pearl beads tend to have a more shiny appearance. Because of their glass base, glass pearl beads appear luminous and almost have a liquid quality to them. Pearls respond well to being worn. Natural body oils make them "mellow" and bring out an inner luminescence. Pearls do not, however, take well to chemicals such as perfume, hair spray, cosmetics and perspiration. Clean pearls with a soft cloth or polishing cloth, with warm water or warm mild soapy water, and keep them in a dark place between uses. Very dry, very hot conditions will dehydrate a pearl over time, causing it to turn dark and even crack or shatter. Do not use silver polishing cloth on pearls. Store pearls separate from other jewelry pieces, so other pieces don't scratch the pearls. Keep pearls away from household cleansers, as these chemicals will destroy pearls. To minimize tarnishing, always store in a plastic ziplock bag. Exposure to air causes tarnishing.

: DIAMANTE Rhodium, a member of the platinum family, is a precious metal. Because it is silvery white and highly reflective it is often used to plate jewelry. Jewelers often use rhodium plating as a finish on silver, white gold and platinum jewelry. It gives the jewelry a brighter finish. It is hypoallergenic so it won't turn your skin green. You may steam clean your diamante jewelry or dab them clean with a mixture of mild detergent and a little water, and dry. You can also clean it with a soft cloth or polishing cloth. Do not clean your rhodium-plated jewelry in chemical cleaners such as jewelry dips. Some sonic jewelry cleaners also use chemicals. It can wear the rhodium plating off more quickly. Avoid rubbing your jewelry against surfaces.

SHOPPING ONLINE  

You do not have to register as a shopper or sign in to your account, prior to adding items to your cart. So no worries, and happy shopping! You will be prompted to register/sign-in once you are ready to check out your shopping cart and make your purchase.

Logging In To Your Account
Click on the 'My Account/Order Status' link at the top right hand corner to go to log in. If you have not registered, click on the Register option. Once signed in, you will be presented with your main Profile page with two options - Edit Profile & Order History. If you have changed your email address, and your account with us is still registered under your previous email address, kindly register a brand new account.

Editing Your Customer Profile
Click on the 'Edit Profile' link at the Profile main page to edit your customer information; click 'Update' to save any changes, or click "Cancel" to go back to your profile main page without saving changes. Please update your profile if you have changed your personal details like your shipping address or etc.

Your Order History
At the Profile main page, click on the 'Order History' link to view any orders that have been made with us. Specific transaction information will be displayed in tabular form on this page for you to view past purchases with us and pending orders (if any). Click 'Cancel' to go back to your main profile page. Remember to log off after you have completed browsing our web store.

ORDERING AND PAYMENT  

We are a full-fledged web shop, so you may place an order via our easy checkout here at littleoddforest | www.forestprints.com, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We do not accept mail orders or telephone requests.

Prices And Currency
All prices and purchase requirements are shown in SGD (Singapore Dollars) by default. Please note that all our prices are subject to change at any time without prior notice and we retain the right to change the price of any items at any time without prior notice. Our currency converter allows you to view only an approximate value of the price in your preferred currency. Our currency converter serves only as a gauge and is by no means an accurate up-to-date calculation of currency exchange rates. All purchases to be paid via Credit Card through Paypal will be automatically switched back to the defaulted SGD (Singapore Dollar).

Inventory Status
If the product(s) you are searching for is not currently listed online, or is listed as 'Sold Out', it is not available at our web store at this time. We may or may not re-stock our previously featured/sold-out stock, as many of our designs are made in very limited quantities. Email us at orders[at]forestprints dot com with your enquiries.

By placing an item in your shopping bag, the item is not reserved. Items are reserved only after the checkout process is completed, order submitted, and payment made.

Sales/ Custom Tax (VAT)
We currently do not charge any sales tax. Please add the appropriate Customs Tax to your order, according to your country's customs and postal regulations. You will be able to find out more from your local post office.

Gift Packaging
We will specially package purchases for SGD$8 per item. Please email to let us know which items you would like to have gift-wrapped after the checkout process. Bulky items cannot be gift-wrapped.

Order Cancellation
Once an order has been placed and payment made, it can no longer be cancelled and no refunds can be made. Your order will be shipped as scheduled. A 20% processing fee will be charged if for some reason, we allow an order to be cancelled. We will refund the amount paid if the order is cancelled due to the unavailability of goods or our inability to deliver the goods within the agreed time frame.

Other than our VIFF privileges, we may give out discount codes to our shoppers periodically. Shoppers may enter the unique discount code given to each of them prior to checking out, at the Shopping Bag page. We may also have tie-up promotions with affiliate partners periodically where special discounts codes and/or privileges are given to shoppers.

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY  

We ship everywhere! Well, almost, except for countries that Paypal does not accept payments from. All orders take 1-2 Business Days to be processed and packed for shipping. Orders are shipped out 3-5 times a week (no shipping during weekends). Please keep in mind that we are a very small business and not a corporation. We currently operate with only myself (Lynda), and a part-time assistant who helps with customer emails, packaging and shipping of packages. There may be slight delays in getting packages out during peak periods such as during the holidays and when we have any on-going promotions or events.

Shipping charges will be automatically calculated at the checkout page. If you would like to get an estimate of your order's shipping charges, simply add the desired products into your cart and click on the check out button. Once done, fill up your shipping address and our system will calculate the shipping charges based on the method of shipping you have selected. To track your existing order, you may login to your account to view your order shipping status.



LOCAL Shipping (Within Singapore)
Delivery within Singapore is Registered Mail via the SingPost (http://singpost.com), with Package Reference Number provided. For all bulky orders weighing above 2 kilograms, they will be delivered via a courier service.
Shipment time is approximately 3-5 Business Days from the date of shipping.

INTERNATIONAL Shipping
International shipping is Registered Airmail Or Air Parcel via the SingPost/Speedpost Worldwide Parcel (http://singpost.com), with Package Reference Number provided. Shipment time is approximately 11-21 Business Days from the date of shipping, depending on your country's customs and postal security checks (and efficiency!).

EXPRESS Shipping
Express shipping to International addresses is via Speedpost/ EMS/ UPS/ FedEx/ DHL with additional charges (http://www.speedpost.com.sg). Orders must be placed before 12 Noon (GMT +8 hours) Mondays to Thursdays (excluding Singapore holidays). Shipment time is 3-7 Business Days from date of shipping. Add SGD$24 for these destinations: South East Asia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, China, New Zealand, Japan. Add SGD$48 for these destinations: India, Sri Lanka, US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Eastern Europe, Africa, Central & South America, Middle East, Other Destinations. `

Order Tracking
Shipping confirmation emails will be sent out once your order has been shipped out. You may also check your order status by logging into your account. Simply sign in to your account to view your order history by date or order number. This allows you to browse your order history and track the status of all your orders. If the tracking results show that your package was delivered, follow up with your local post office for more information with the Package Reference Number provided. The Package Reference Number provided for Registered Mail is by no means a tracking number, and only confirms that your package was securely shipped out. Once an order package has been delivered to the postal carrier, the item becomes that carrier's responsibility and we are no longer liable. We are not responsible for postal transit times, which are provided by the carrier, and may vary with package origin and destination, especially during peak periods.

All Registered and Express packages need to be signed for upon delivery. If no one is available to sign for the package, the postal service will leave a notification with further instructions for pick-up or re-delivery, and it is the customer's responsibility to follow through in obtaining the package.

Missing/ Damaged Orders
We apologize for any problems that may have occurred with your order during mail transit. Please email us at orders[at]forestprints dot com with the Subject 'Damaged Order' within 2 days of receiving your order, or email us immediately if your order has not arrived after 21 Business Days.

We are not responsible for any packages lost or damaged while in transit to a destination. Postal insurance for Registered Mail is only up to a maximum amount of SGD60 (subject to postal terms and conditions). Full insurance is available only for Express Shipping. Insurance cannot cover lost packages due to an incorrect/ incomplete address provided by a customer during checkout. We are not responsible for the loss of these packages. If you entered a wrong address at checkout and the package is sent back to us we will ship it out to you as soon as you confirm with us your correct address. Extra shipping fees will be required.

In the case of a lost/damage/refund claim being filed, it can take about 1 to 3 months to be resolved. We are unable to make any refunds until the courier has refunded us for the insured amount claimed. A package must be missing for 30 days from the date it was shipped before a claim can be filed. If a package/item has been damaged in transit, you must mail it to me, no later than 2 days after the date it was delivered to you, so that I can present it as physical evidence to the courier in order to file a claim. Shipping charges for such cases can only be refunded after the claim has been resolved.

Please make sure you feel comfortable with these terms before placing your order, as no replacements and no refunds can be made if an order is lost or damaged while in transit.

Shipping To A Different Address
You may place an order to be shipped to an address other than that of your billing address. At the Shipping Page during checkout, simply choose the different stored address in your account or input a new one.

P.O. Box And AFPN Addresses
Due to shipping restrictions, shipping is not available for P.O. Box and AFPN addresses. `

Taxes, Duties And Custom Fees
The recipient may be charged all applicable duty, taxes, and/or brokerage fees C.O.D. in your local currency at the time of delivery. All taxes, duties and customs fees are the responsibility of the customer. Tax and duty amount is presented during delivery, not during checkout. Your local post office or carrier will be able to provide you with further information.

Order Status And History
Shipping confirmation emails will be sent out once your order has been delivered to the post office, with your Package Reference/Tracking numbers. Alternatively, you can also track your order by logging into your account. Simply sign in to your account to view your order history by date or order number. This allows you to browse your order history and track the status of all your orders. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have further queries with regards to your order status, as we sometimes take slightly longer to update all shipped order status during our busy periods.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES  

We currently do not do any refunds. Please read all item descriptions carefully and ask us any questions you might have before you make your purchase. We will gladly replace any item that is faulty* or is not what you originally ordered. Please keep in mind that shipping fees are never refundable unless the mistake was on our part. If something is not right, email us immediately quoting your order number, your name and address, details of the product and the reason for return. We will then advise you on how to proceed with the return and item replacement. Please note that no unauthorized returns will be accepted and will be re-sent back to you. You MUST notify us and wait for our approval and instructions before shipping an item back to us.

For orders within Singapore, unworn merchandise in its original condition* with attached tags and packaging, returned within 7 days of the shipping date will be promptly processed. For International orders, unworn merchandise in its original condition* with attached tags and packaging, returned within 30 days of the shipping date will be promptly processed.

Be sure your package is insured and prepaid. The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. For your own protection, we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods or at least provides a form of tracking.

Please note that when trying on items of clothing, ensure that you are not wearing makeup/ perfume/ aftershave/ deodorant which may leave marks or a scent on the item. We will be unable to accept the return of any item where there is evidence that these instructions have not been followed. The item must be returned in its original packaging with any enclosed documentation.

OTHER GENERAL QUESTIONS  

1. Why are there no items in the cart after I have already added them in?
This could have happened either because the item is not available, or because you are using incompatible browsers. Please contact us with detailed information about the problem you are experiencing, including your computer system and browser type.

2. Can I add or remove items from my order once it has been submitted?
Unfortunately, once you have submitted your order, we are no longer able to modify your order. This is to ensure that all orders are processed securely and packed accordingly. Any modifications done after an order is submitted may result in order errors. You may place an additional order at any time.

3. During registration, why is there a password/username error even though I filled them in properly?
Please ensure that your username or password do not contain any special characters. This could be the cause of the error. Try using alphanumeric characters when registering your username & password.

4. During surfing, I have come to an error page : OOOPPSS! There was an error processing this page.
When you see this page, it means the page you are trying to view does not exist or we might be experiencing some technical glitches. Please ensure that you have entered the correct URL, or email to notify us immediately if the problem persists.

5. When I click on the 'Size Chart' button and the 'Enlarged View' button, nothing happens.
Our size chart and product alternative views opens up in a new popup window. Your firewall/brower settings could have prevented this from happening. Go to your browser security settings to enable this function.

6. How does your website secure my online orders?
All transaction orders made with us are being secured using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) provided by our Credit card processing gateway (Paypal). To check the security of your connection, look for an unbroken key or a closed lock in the lower-left corner of your browser window after accessing the server. These icons indicate that SSL is active. Or look at the first characters of the site address in the URL line of your browser. The letters will change from "http" to "https" when you access a secure server. If you are using a public computer, protect your personal information by always logging out of forestprints.com when you are finished shopping.

7. What happens when I submit an email to you?
We read every message that arrives and warrants a response. We try to respond within 3 Business Days for urgent questions pertaining to your order. Please give us up to 1 week for non-order related emails, as things can get too crazy for us here sometimes. We keep email addresses on file in a secure server for documentation and to make sure that we respond appropriately to you. All emails will be deleted once successfully resolved.

8. Will you sell my email address to other businesses?
We will not sell or give away your email address. Click HERE for our Privacy Policy.

CUSTOM ORDERS  

We know some customers like yourself have acquired taste. Never in your lifetime would you want to be caught dead in a situation whereby you end up carrying the same case as someone else on the street. Which is why in addition to our one of a kind creations, we have a custom request service, whereby you may request for a design from our collection in the colors you like and fabric of your choice from our available selections. Or maybe you need a longer strap for a particular design you like from our collection? Whatever it is, as long as we have to capability to customize it, we will do it for you!

How do I go about placing a custom order request?
A custom-made item generally takes about 4-6 weeks for completion, and whose cost is similar to how I price my works, give or take $5 - $10 depending on what you are looking for. A great way to start a custom-order request is to drop me an email, telling me what you are looking for and we will discuss from there on!

Upon confirmation of an order, a 50% fixed deposit or full payment is expected before we start working on your request. I will email pictures of the completed work when it is ready for collection.

As a basic guideline, the list of components available for customization are as follows :
- Fabric materials (from my currently available supplies)
- Fabric combination (mix and match from my currently available supplies)
- Strap changes (length etc.) or additions, or extra compartments etc. (pockets etc.)
- Custom text/name embroidery

How much does it cost?
They are priced similarly to how my handmade goods costs. For instance, a laptop sleeve costs $55. If you would like one made, chances are a custom-made laptop sleeve will be of that price too. However, if you have extra details you would like, there will be additional costs, give or take $5 - $10.

How long does it take to finish an order?
I usually request for at least 4-6 weeks for the completion of an order, as there is always a concurrent work order queue. It depends on my current schedule, but 4-6 weeks is a safe bet. If your order can be completed earlier, we will let you know!

Do I have to make a deposit for an order?
Yes, you have to make a 50% fixed deposit or full payment before your order can be confirmed.

Can you use my own fabric for my custom order?
You sure can!

Do custom orders restrict your creativity?
It does not when customers give me complete creative freedom and trust in what I make.

Do you do wholesale/bulk orders?
Yes, I sure do! If you are a retailer with your own store, please refer HERE for details.
